NEW – Please be advised that all bags will be screened prior to entry at each of the Kansas City Chiefs Training Camp open practice’s held on the campus of Missouri Western State University.

The following items are prohibited and cannot be brought into Chiefs Training Camp:

  • Glass, metal, plastic thermos, cups, bottles or flasks
  • Coolers of any size or type.
  • Alcohol of any kind.
  • Weapons or anything that can be used as a projectile or is deemed dangerous by Security management.
  • Firearms, weapons of any type or fireworks.
  • Banners, signs or flags of that are larger than 3’ x 5’.
  • Single purpose video cameras or still-photography cameras with a lens longer than 6″.
  • Any animal with the exception of a service animal.
  • Boom boxes
  • Flammable liquids
  • Noisemakers including air horns, klaxon, bells, whistles, etc.
  • Laser pointers of any type, poles or rods
  • Balloons
  • Selfie sticks
  • Drones
  • Any other items deemed dangerous, unacceptable or inappropriate by MWSU or Chiefs security

Schedule Changes/Practice Cancellation:

Practices may be cancelled or moved indoors due to inclement weather. Due to space limitations, fans are not permitted to view practices that are conducted in the Indoor Practice Facility at Missouri Western State University.

Where can the public park for Training Camp practices?

Parking on campus will be available in Lot H. Fans will be charged $5 per day to park. There is no free parking spaces on-campus. ADA parking is available in lot H. ADA parking in front of Baker Family Fitness Center is more convenient for guests requiring a level entrance. Parking for buses and RVs has been set aside in Lot H at a rate of $15 per vehicle.

Can the public tailgate in the parking lot?

Fans are encouraged to tailgate if they desire. If doing so, the Kansas City Chiefs and Missouri Western State University ask fans to follow these simple guidelines:

  • Only one parking space may be taken up per car
  • Alcohol is prohibited in all MWSU parking lots
  • We kindly ask fans to dispose of all trash in barrels provided

Are there restrooms on site?

Yes, on-site restroom facilities and porta johns will be available.

Will there be concessions?

Yes, food options will be available each practice, including soft drinks and water.

Where can the public buy Chiefs merchandise?

The Chiefs Team Store will be located at the entry point to Training Camp and will sell official player jerseys, hats and more. You can also visit the Chiefs Pro Shop Online.

Is seating provided at training camp?

Bleachers will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Seating cannot be reserved in advance. Seating is also available on the hill by the south end zones.

Where is the lost and found area?

The lost and found area is located at the Chiefs Information Tent.

Lost Kids

Lost children will be escorted to the Chiefs Information Tent.

Are all practices open to the public? Are they free?

Yes, all practices are open to the public. However, team walk throughs will be closed to the public.

Additionally, all practices are free with the exception of July 27, 28 and August 3. For these dates, admission is $5 and kids ages 3 and younger are free.

What items are prohibited?

For safety and security, the following items are prohibited at Training Camp:

  • No drinks allowed expect one (1) sealed bottle of water per person
  • Firearms, weapons of any type or fireworks
  • Coolers – any size, any type
  • Plastic, metal or glass cups, cans or containers
  • Thermos bottles or flasks
  • Food
  • Beer or liquor
  • Video cameras or professional cameras/lenses
  • Flammable liquids
  • Noisemakers – air horns, klaxon, bells, whistles, etc.
  • Boom boxes
  • Laser pointers of any type, poles or rods
  • Any other items deemed dangerous or unacceptable by security

Can the public bring pets to training camp?

Pets are not permitted on Training Camp grounds with the exception of service animals.

Can the public take photos or video of the players during training camp practices?

Fans are encouraged to take photos at Training Camp. However, no audio or video recording devices are allowed, including camcorders or cellular phones with video capabilities. Video taping during practice is strictly prohibited.

What days will the team autograph sessions be on?

Team autograph sessions will be on July 27, 28, August 2, 3 and 4. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that you will have an opportunity to receive autographs during these days.

Will I be able to get autographs during camp or specifically a team signing day?

Players will be available following practice. Specific position groups will sign each day for a certain amount of time. Players on team signing days will also sign for a specific amount of time during the sessions.

There is no guarantee that you will have an opportunity to receive autographs during training camp.

When should the public arrive for practice?

Training Camp gates will open 30 minutes prior to the posted start of practice and will close 30 minutes after practice.

EMERGENCY, HEALTH, AND SPECIAL ASSISTANCE

Heat Awareness:

Training Camp is notorious for practices in the summer heat. Please remember that Training Camp is outside and fans should take certain precautions, including:

  • Staying properly hydrated
  • Applying sun screen
  • Using shade to avoid heat-related issues
  • Shaded bleachers
  • Misting tent

Emergency Information/First Aid:

In case of lightning and other severe weather, fans should seek shelter and follow the instructions of local law enforcement and university personnel.

A First Aid tent will be on-site and will be staffed by Mosaic Life Care. This tent will offer free water for fans, shade and access to emergency personnel if needed. This tent should be able to handle all minor first aid problems at camp. An ambulance will be on-site at all times camp is open to the public.

Special Needs:

Visitors with special needs should see a Training Camp representative for appropriate assistance.

Where are the ADA parking spots located?

ADA parking spots will be located in Lot H outside of the Baker Family Fitness Center.

Smoking Policy:

Smoking is prohibited on Training Camp grounds.
