Kansas man hospitalized after head-on crash

BROWN COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just after 6:30a.m. Monday in Brown County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1994 Ford Ranger driven by Kirk Warren Eisenbise, 55, Morrill, was eastbound on U.S. 36 just west of Hazelnut Road.

The driver lost control, sliding sideways across both lanes of traffic and struck a westbound 2011 Nissan Rogue driven by Melissa Ann Ryser, 37, Wathena,  head-on.

EMS transported Eisenbise to the hospital in Hiawatha. Ryser was not transported for treatment. The KHP did not have complete seat belt usage of the drivers.
