    VOD and is a new way of watching television and has become very popular among our viewers. VOD stands for Video On Demand and is a means of receiving video content. This content is downloaded to a digital set top box, rented from St. Joseph Cablevision that allows customers to view video content instantaneously, or in other words, when you want or ‘On Demand.’ This set top box also provides VCR functional modes such as pause, fast-forward and rewind, not only with On Demand programming but with standard programming as well. Free content is available On Demand along with programs and movies available for purchase. For example, rather than waiting for a particular day or time to watch a program you have the option to watch the program or movie when it is convenient for you, 24 hours a day. Free content included with your subscription includes The History Channel, Bravo, A&E, The Outdoor Channel, NBC, Lifetime, Karaoke, Caught On Demand, Kids Unlimited, local programming such as MWSC Athletics, Reece & Nichols real estate, our customer information show The Solution Show, HBO, Showtime, Starz and more. Programs available for purchase include new release movies, of which many are available on the same day as the DVD release, old movies, adult programming, events and more.

    Q:  Do I need to discharge a battery before charging it?

    The answer to your questions actually depends on the type of battery being used. If the battery is a lead acid battery (these batteries are found in cars, wheel chairs, scooters, tractors), you will get the best life if you keep the battery at or near a full state of charge at all times. However, if the battery is a Nickel Cadmium (Nicd) or Nickel Metal Hydride (NIMH), it is beneficial to run the battery down completely before recharging it. You will typically see NICD & NIMH batteries found in cordless drills, cordless razors, and some small electronic devices. Finally, if you battery is Lithium Ion (Lion), it does not really matter either way- you can run it all the way down or keep it fully charged. Lithium Ion batteries are found in digital cameras and camcorders, cell phones, and laptops. I hope this helps!
