Teen hospitalized after 4-vehicle Brown Co. crash

BROWN COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident after 1:30p.m. Thursday in Brown County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2018 Jeep Wrangler driven by Jack T. Rosa, 17, Hiawatha, was southbound on U.S. 75 and rear-ended a 2017 Ford Fusion driven by Melissa M. Oshin, 33, Bellvue, NE., who had slowed to turn at 260th Road.

The Ford then sideswiped a northbound 2007 Freightliner semi driven by  Luis E. Ramos-Olguin, 38, Kansas City.

Debris from the crash hit a southbound 2011 Scion XD driven by Christian P. Shaffer, 17, Hiawatha.

EMS transported Rosa to the hospital in Hiawatha.

Oshin, 2 children in the Ford, Ramos-Olguin and Shaffer were not injured. All six were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
