Two Missouri women hospitalized after strikes embankment

NODAWAY COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just before 7p.m. Tuesday in Nodaway County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Ford Mustang driven by a 20-year-old Maryville woman was eastbound on 282nd Street.  The driver was unfamiliar with the road and failed to observe a T intersection at Jett Road.  The car began to skid, crossed Jett Road, traveled off the east side of the road and struck an embankment.

A private vehicle transported the driver and a 19-year-old passenger to Mosaic in Maryville. They were not wearing seat belts, according to the MSHP.
