A St. Joseph man, Robert C. Lona Jr., is facing charges for unlawfully possessing a firearm in Buchanan County. Police responded to a trouble call and found Lona Jr. acting erratically in the street. He fled from officers and discarded a bag containing a Glock 21 .45 caliber firearm and ammunition. Lona Jr., a convicted felon in Missouri, is scheduled for an initial court appearance on Friday.
