CMA GETAWAY OFFICAL CONTEST RULES CONTEST

 

Beginning on or about September 23rd, 2019, KSJQ and KQ2 will begin the CMA Getaway Contest.  Listeners/Viewers are encouraged to visit a participating sponsor to register.  One contestant will randomly be selected from the entries to win a trip for two to the 2019 CMA Awards in Nashville, TN.  If we are unable to connect with the entrant for any reason*, we’ll randomly select a second person to call.  This will continue until a winner is available, qualified and notified.

 

  1. Contest open to everyone 18 years of age or older who are not employees (and immediate family members) of Eagle Radio, Inc., Nexstar Broadcasting and participating registration sponsors of this promotion.
  2. No purchase necessary to win.
  3. You may win this contest one time only. Once a participant wins, all other entries will be deleted from the pool of eligible entries.  If we are unable to connect with an entrant for any reason, their entry will remain in the pool of eligible entries.
  4. Prize includes but is not limited to a trip for two to Nashville, TN for the 2019 CMA Awards which consists of
  • $300 cash for parking at KCI and incidentals
  • 2 Roundtrip airline tickets from KC to Nashville
  • 2 night hotel stay
  • 2 tickets to the CMA Awards
  • 2 tickets to the Country Music Hall Of Fame
  • 2 tickets to the Opry At The Ryman
  1. Odds of winning the contest depend on the total number of entries received.
  2. No substitution of prize is allowed. Prize is non-transferable.  Winner may be required to sign liability release.  Winner will also be required to furnish social security number and complete a W-9 tax form for prizes over $599.00.  Winner is responsible for all applicable taxes relating to the prize.
  3. By accepting prize, winner agrees to use by KSJQ and KQ2 of his/her name, likeness, voice and/or personal information for promotional purposes in connection with this contest without compensation.
  4. KSJQ and KQ2 will be the final arbitrator with regard to questions that may arise regarding this contest. All inquiries may be addressed to KSJQ, 4104 Country Lane, St. Joseph, MO 64506.
  5. Prize will be available for pick up at KSJQ, 4104 country Lane, St. Joseph, MO, 48 hours after winning. Prize must be collected within 2 weeks of winning.  KSJQ office hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00AM and 5:00PM.  Proper identification will be required.
  6. KSJQ and KQ2 reserves the right to refuse the awarding of the prize in the event of non-compliance with the contest rules, fraud, misrepresentation of counterfeit, illegible or altered identification. Each mail in entry must be postmarked and mailed separately.  No photocopies will be accepted.  Deadline for entries is October 25th, 2019.  Illegible, incomplete, machine printed, facsimile or mechanically reproduced entries will not be accepted.  KSJQ and KQ2 are not responsible for lost, late, delayed, mutilated altered, illegible, stolen, postage due, or misdirected entries.  Entrants assume all risks.
  7. KSJQ and KQ2 reserve the right to cancel, suspend and/or to make modifications to the official contest rules that will become effective upon announcement.
  8. KSJQ and KQ2 are not responsible if caller is unable to contact he station due to telephone problems of any kind, including busy circuits. KSJQ and KQ2 are not responsible if we encounter telephone problems while attempting to contact you.  This includes but is not limited to, busy signals and busy circuits.  You assume all responsibility for cell phone service problems if you enter using a cell phone number.
  9. KSJQ and KQ2 are not responsible if technical problems prohibit us from airing any portion of the contest. Portions of the contest not affecting the outcome may be edited for playback.

 

(*) If someone other than the person who entered the contest answers the phone, we will ask to speak to the person who sent the pledge or entered on-line (the entrant).  We will wait 2 minutes while the entrant is brought to the phone.  If the entrant is not on the line within that time, we will consider the call to be incomplete and end the contest.  If the person we are calling (the entrant) is unavailable for any reason, that counts as an incomplete call and the contest is over.  The entrant cannot call the station back when they are available.  If there is not an answer at the number we are calling (we will let the phone ring a total of 10 times) the contest is incomplete and the contest is over.  If the call we are making is answered by an answering machine or voice mail, we will leave a message but the call is incomplete and the contest is over.  If the entrant picks up during the message we leave, they will be allowed to except the jackpot provided that the person we are talking to is the person who entered the contest.  Only the person, who entered the contest, will be allowed to except the prize.  If we make contact with a entrant and they do not except the prize and hang up or are disconnected for any reason out of the control of the radio station before they say that they except the prize the contest is over, we will consider the call to be incomplete and end the contest. If we attempt to contact an entrant and for whatever reason we are unable to connect, their entry will remain in the pool of eligible entries.
