ATCHISON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects on
Shortly before midnight on Wednesday, police responded to the 700 block of S Street in Atchison where a utility trailer had just been stolen, according to Police Chief Mike Wilson.
A witness had reported the description of the trailer and a pick up truck that had hooked up to the trailer and left the scene.
An officer observed the truck and trailer driving north on 5th Street at Park Street where the officer stopped the vehicle. The subsequent investigation determined the trailer, valued at $3,000, was stolen from the 700 block S Street The two occupants of the truck were taken into custody.
Anthony E. Akins-Bomhoff, 26, Atchison, and Jason L. Brown, 42, Topeka, are being held for the theft of the trailer
