BUCHANAN COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 1p.m. Sunday in Buchanan County.
Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Buick Enclave driven by Patricia A. Ray, 81, Sheridan, was northbound on Interstate 229 in St. Joseph.
The rear side passenger tire of the van blew out. This caused the vehicle to cross the center line. The driver overcorrected and the van traveled off the east side of the road and struck a concrete barrier.
Buchanan County EMS transported Ray to Mosaic Life Care. She was. properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
