BUCHANAN COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 2p.m. Wednesday in Buchanan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Chevy pickup driven by Bryan M. Carter, 27, Kansas City, was southbound on Interstate 29 one and one half miles north of Dearborn
The driver failed to yield to slow traffic. The pickup traveled into the median and the driver overcorrected. The pickup returned to the road and struck the front drivers side of a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Taylor E. Dougan, 31, St. Joseph. After impact the pickup traveled off the west side of the road, struck an embankment and overturned.
Buchanan County EMS transported Carter to Mosaic Life Care. Dougan was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
