Missouri woman injured after car, SUV crash

LIVINGSTON COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 2p.m. Tuesday in Livingston County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2011 Ford Taurus driven by an 87-year-old Chillicothe woman was southbound a 610 W Old U.S. 36 at Business 36 in  Chillicothe. The driver failed to yield and struck an eastbound 2021 Ford Explorer driven by a 49-year-old Brookfield woman. After impact the SUV traveled off the north side of the road and struck a ditch, utility pole and sign.

Chillicothe EMS transported the SUV driver to Hedrick Medical Center. The other driver was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
