Buchanan County Sheriff's Office stops drug smuggling into jail

The Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that over the last week instances of drug smuggling into the jail have had to be stopped.

Buchanan County Sheriff Bill Puett reports that just in the last week alone three seperate incidents involving people bringing illegal drugs into the jail concealed on their body have been stopped. Seizures of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and pills have been made.

Charges have been submitted to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office on all individuals involved, including other inmates in the jail, ranging from delivery

Specific charges filed, and case information will be released from Prosecuting Attorney Michelle Davidson’s office.
