Mo. man injured after pickup crash in heavy rain

NODAWAY COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 5:30a.m. Tuesday in Nodaway County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2015 Ram 1500 driven by a 25-year-old Tarkio man was eastbound on U.S. 136 eight miles west of Burlington Junction. The driver lost control on the vehicle in heavy rain. The pickup traveled off the left side of the road, struck an embankment and traveled into a bean field.

Atchison-Holt ambulance transported the driver to Fairfax Community Hospital. He was properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
