HARRISON COUNTY —A woman died in a pedestrian accident just before 11:30p.m. Saturday in Harrison County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 71-year-old Santee, California woman was walking in the eastbound lanes of U.S. 136 just west of Interstate 35 in Bethany. The pedestrian walked into the path of a 2019 Lincoln MKT driven by a 61-year-old Bethany man.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene and was transported to Roberson Funeral Home. The driver was properly restrained and not injured, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
