Driver hospitalized after car strikes MODOT sign

LIVINGSTON COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 5:30p.m. Sunday in Livingston County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2024 Kia 4K driven by a 20-year-old Plattsmouth, Nebraska man was westbound on U.S. 36 approximately three miles north of Ludlow. The driver lost control of the vehicle as he attempted to pass a semi.  The car struck a MODOT sign and traveled off the west side of the road.

Livingston County EMS transported to driver to Hedrick Medical Center. He was properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
