8 hospitalized after car, van crash

HARRISON COUNTY—Eight people were injured in an accident just after 5:30p.m. Thursday in Harrison County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Chevy Impala driven by a 75-year-old Blythdale woman was northbound on Interstate 35 one half mile of Eagleville in the driving lane next to a 2005 Ford Econoline E450 in the passing lane driven by a 45-year-old Oklahoma City, Oklahoma man. The Impala driver attempted to turn into an emergency crossover and struck the front side of the van.

After impact the van traveled off the west side of the road onto the crossover and became airborne and came to rest on its wheels in the median. The Impala also came to rest in the median.

North Missouri EMS transported six female passengers on the bus to Harrison County Community Hospital. Decatur County Hospital EMS transported two female passengers on the van to Harrison County Community Hospital. The drivers were not injured. All the passengers on the van were from Oklahoma. The MSHP no longer releases names of accident victims.
