LIVINGSTON COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 2:30p.m. Saturday in Livingston County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2010 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by a 90-year-old Chillicothe man was traveling on Walnut Street and turned westbound into the parking lot of a business in Chillicothe. The diver mistook the brake for the gas pedal. The car accelerated and struck a 26-year-old Festus man who was exiting the business. The car came to rest on its wheels in the business.
Livingston County EMS transported the pedestrian to Hedrick Medical Center. He was later airlifted to Truman Medical Center. The driver was not injured.
