HOLT COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just before 1:30p.m. Tuesday in Holt County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Ford Escape driven by a 58-year-old Springfield woman was southbound on Interstate 29 seven miles southwest of Oregon. The SUV rear-ended the towed unit on a 2024 Freightliner semi driven by a 37-year-old Winter Haven, Florida man. After impact the SUV began to overturn.
Atchison Holt EMS transported the SUV driver to Mosaic in St. Joseph. The semi driver was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
