Area residents can celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day this year enjoying a soul food buffet at the Wyeth-Tootle Mansion.
Executive Director of St. Joseph Museums, Sara Wilson, says the event features a tasty menu of items. “We are super excited to be featuring Chef Towanda Isaacs who is putting together a special soul food buffet for us.”
The menu includes sweet potato casserole, collard greens, okra, black eyed peas, shrimp & grits, fried chicken, fried catfish, macaroni & cheese, cornbread, fried green tomatoes and dessert.
Two meals will be served; brunch at 11:00 a.m. and dinner at 6:00 p.m.
Brunch tickets are $25 and dinner tickets are $30 per person.
Wilson says the ticket price includes the entire meal, drinks, taxes and gratuity. Tickets are limited and can be purchased at the St. Joseph Museums’ website.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day is January 19.
