Skidmore, Missouri, received a Community Development Block Grant of $112,128 for the demolition of four residences. Jerri Dearmont, executive director of the Northwest Missouri Regional Council of Governments, explained the next steps in the demolition grant process at a recent Skidmore Board of Aldermen meeting. Skidmore is one of three Nodaway County cities to receive this funding from the Department of Economic Development. The grant will help improve the community by removing blighted properties.
