Buchanan County Unemployment Drops to 3.2% by Year’s End

Buchanan County’s unemployment rate has decreased from 4.4% in January 2025 to 3.2% by December 2025. The Missouri Job Center in St. Joseph aims to connect job seekers and employers, offering free services funded by taxpayers. The center provides local training for area jobs and assesses the needs of job seekers to help them find employment. Additionally, the center assists youth aged 16 to 24 in finding their first job or career pathway. The goal is to continue reducing unemployment in the county by connecting individuals with quality job opportunities through the resources offered at the Missouri Job Center on Frederick Ave.
