Hundreds of Volunteers Set to Transform St. Joseph Streets in One Day

Missouri Western State University’s Center for Service and Student Government Association will participate in “The Big Event” on March 28, where volunteers will clean up a St. Joseph neighborhood. The event, originally founded at Texas A&M University in 1982, has become the largest one-day, student-run service project in the nation. The focus will be on the 29th and Lafayette Streets neighborhood, with volunteers helping with litter pickup, clearing blocked sewer drains, and other tasks. The event aims to give back to the community and promote civic engagement and community partnership. Volunteers can sign up on MoWest’s website for the event.
