Attorney general sues American Shaman for sales of kratom, 7-OH

Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway has filed a lawsuit against CBD American Shaman and connected companies for misleading Missourians about the safety of their products, particularly a hazardous opioid called 7-OH. The lawsuit, filed in collaboration with the Department of Health and Senior Services, alleges that the company markets these drugs without required safety testing and regulatory approvals. CBD American Shaman’s President and Founder, Stephen Vincent Sanders II, has stated that they believe their products are safe and intend to defend the case. The lawsuit claims that the company does not adequately disclose the risks associated with their products, which are often available in gas stations and smoke shops.
