Richardson County Commissioners approved salary changes for staff positions in the Sheriffs Department, including an increase in pay for uncertified deputies in training from $25 to $28.40 per hour. Two deputies with more than a year and two years of service will also receive a salary increase. Sheriff Rick Hardesty presented purchase orders for equipment for a new patrol unit, including a responder center console and a dual color police responder light bar. The law enforcement center currently houses 19 inmates, with one being held out of the county.
