Authorities are investigating a two-vehicle collision involving a police cruiser that occurred Monday evening at the intersection of North 22nd and Faraon streets.
The crash, which took place at approximately 6:20 p.m. on March 30, resulted in the police vehicle rolling onto its side and sustaining significant damage. The St. Joseph Fire Department responded to the scene to extricate one individual from the cruiser.
According to officials, the officer behind the wheel and an individual in police custody both sustained minor injuries. Both were treated at a local medical facility and subsequently released.
An occupant of the second vehicle reported minor injuries but declined medical treatment at the scene.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation. Police officials said that further details will be provided as the inquiry progresses.
