Page County board backs rock resurfacing contract

Page County officials have approved a contract with Schildberg Construction for rock resurfacing on farm-to-market roads totaling $568,620. The project will cover over 58 miles of county roads with 17,550 tons of Class D rock spread over nine different routes. County Engineer J.D. King will oversee the project, which is expected to begin in a couple of weeks and last about a week. Additionally, the board approved a resolution appointing King as the digital signing authority for the project and discussed a road grader training session for operators from neighboring counties. The board also approved the use of the courthouse grounds for upcoming events, contingent on ongoing roof and clock tower repair work.
