A 24-year-old woman from Kansas City, Missouri, was seriously injured in a crash on northbound Interstate 29 near the Frederick Avenue exit. The crash involved a 2004 Honda CRV driven by the woman and a 2022 Kenworth W900 cab truck driven by an 80-year-old male from Cheyenne, Wyoming. The woman failed to observe stopped traffic ahead and struck the Kenworth at full speed. Both vehicles came to a stop in the driving lane facing north. The woman, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was transported to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph for treatment.
