NODAWAY COUNTY—Three people were injured in an accident just after 6p.m. Sunday in Nodaway County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1997 Ford Ranger driven by a 66-year-old Lenox, Iowa man was eastbound on Jade Road one half mile north of Maryville and stopped at the posted stop sign at U.S. 71. The driver failed to yield to a northbound 2018 Dodge Durango driven by a 40-year-old Maryville woman.
The Dodge struck the front passenger side of the Ford. After impact, both vehicles struck the front drivers side of a 2007 Kia Spectra driven by a 70-year-old Hopkins man who was westbound on MO 148 and stopped at the posted stop sign at U.S. 71.
Nodaway County EMS transported the Missouri drivers to Mosaic in Maryville. A private vehicle transported the Iowa driver to Mosaic in Maryville. All three were properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
