Mo. woman hospitalized in St. Joe after Jeep, pickup crash

CLINTON COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 5:30 p.m. Monday in Clinton County. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by a 44-year-old Stewartsville man was eastbound on 354th Street at Route K two miles south of Stewartsville.

The driver failed to yield to a southbound 2004 Dodge 2500 driven by a 22-year-old Platte City man. The Jeep entered the southbound lane of Route K. The pickup struck the Jeep.

DeKalb-Clinton EMS transported a 36-year-old female passenger in the Jeep to Mosaic in St. Joseph. The drivers were not transported. The 22-year-old driver and the 36-year-old passenger in the Jeep were not wearing seat belts, according to the MSHP.  The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
