ANDREW COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just after 9a.m. Monday in Andrew County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Jeep Wrangler driven by 19-year-old Wathena, Kansas, man was northbound in the driving lane on Business Loop Interstate 29 in Country Club Village. The driver failed to notice a northbound 2008 Saturn Vue driven by a 60-year-old St. Joseph woman in the passing and attempted to make a left turn at the crossover at Emerald Lane. The Jeep struck the passenger side of the Saturn.
EMS transported both drivers to Mosaic. They were both properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
