Juvenile in custody after St. Joseph shooting that wounded another juvenile

A juvenile has been taken into custody in wake of a shooting in north St. Joseph.

The St. Joseph Police Department reports officers responded to a residence in the 3100 block of North 10th Street shortly after six o’clock Monday evening. A young man, a juvenile, had suffered gunshot wounds. He has been taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. His wounds are not considered life-threatening.

The investigation into the shooting continues.
