The St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday morning to help celebrate a new expansion at St. Joseph Christian School.
Some of the additions to the $10-million facility include a new gym, flex spaces, five classrooms, two locker rooms, two athletic offices, a sports medicine facility and storage.
Co-Superintendent and Secondary Principal, Danny Maggart says, “We have 29,000 square feet, its paid for and we’re so thankful for that.”
Maggart says all the funding came from donations. “There were several different entities that gave a significant amount and we just thank the Lord for this unique opportunity that’s been given to our school.”
The expansion will also allow for more sporting events and private events in the future.
St. Joseph Christian School gave a special thank you to Lee Grover Construction and the many subcontractors “whose craftsmanship made the vision of the Nehemiah 2.0 Project a reality.”
