The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating a shooting that left two dead in Albany Saturday morning.
In a release from the patrol, the Gentry County Sheriff’s office went for a welfare check to a home on 7th Street in Albany, finding a deceased man and woman, as well as a deceased dog.
The sheriff’s office then called in the MSHP’s Division of Drug and Crime Control.
The investigation is still open at this time. Troopers said they don’t believe there is an active threat to the community.
