2 adults, 3 teens hospitalized after 4-vehicle crash

CLINTON COUNTY —Five people were injured in an accident just after 3:30p.m. Friday in Clinton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2015 Honda CRV driven by a 19-year-old Shawnee, Kansas woman was southbound on Interstate 35 two miles south of Cameron.  The driver failed to stop in heavy traffic. The Honda rear-ended a 2015 Chrysler Town&Country driven by a 45-year-old Indianola, Iowa man. The impact pushed the van into a 2017 Toyta Rav4 driven by a 31-year-old West Des Moines, Iowa man. The Toyota was pushed into a 2024 Kia Tulluride driven a 41-year-old Urbandale, Iowa man.

EMS transported the Kansas driver, a 32=year-old female passenger in Toyota and three passengers from the van including a 45-year-old woman, a 12-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl to Liberty Hospital.  The MSHP had incomplete seat belt usage information. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
