During a recent meeting, the Brown County Commission approved the creation of a new county position, appointing Jerry Hisel as the Road and Bridge Superintendent. Hisel will start his new role on April 27th at a salary of $30 per hour. Additionally, the Commission hired James Lance as a full-time member of the Road and Bridge crew at a starting rate of $20.50 per hour, increasing to $22 per hour after obtaining his commercial driver’s license. Joshua Herman was also hired as a full-time county landfill assistant at a salary of $22.50 per hour.
