Missouri State Capitol to glow green for Mental Health Awareness Month

The Missouri State Capitol dome will be lit green overnight on Wednesday to recognize Mental Health Awareness Month, according to Gov. Mike Kehoe. The dome will be green from sunset on Wednesday until sunrise on Thursday. The lighting is part of efforts to promote mental well-being and reduce stigma around mental health. The initiative also recognizes Children’s Mental Health Week, with activities planned across Missouri to support mental health and well-being. Director of the Missouri Department of Mental Health, Valerie Huhn, emphasized the importance of fostering supportive environments and ensuring access to care for all Missourians.
